With a perfect motorcycle day forecast I set off this morning, on the Honda, for Warburton via Hill End, Noojee and Powelltown. The road from Hill End on has deteriorated to the point of being outright dangerous over the past 12-18 months so it was great to see that about 5km has been ripped up and is undergoing reconstruction. Arrived in Warburton after a very quiet, pleasant and sunny ride along one of my favourite roads. Stayed just long enough for an iced coffee at the Three Sugars (had breakfast in Traralgon early on) before turning the Honda back towards Traralgon. This time I turned off at Noojee towards Nilma to avoid all that road work, and arrived home after a very pleasant ride.

6 March - Inverloch
Woke up to another perfect day today and decided to drop off an item I had forgotten a couple of days ago to my brother in law Fred who lives in Inverloch. Took the BMW this time. Stopped for a coffee in Mirboo North and then continued on. Reached Fred and Laura's place at 12:15 and Laura had lunch ready - terrific. After lunch, a cuppa and a catchup it was time to retrace my steps home and got there at 3 pm, just in time to get in the car and do the grandchild school run.

4 March - Cowes Philip Island
Took the Honda to Cowes today. It was a nice warm day and the idea of gliding through the South Gippsland countryside on the white and chrome cruiser was irresistible. Also needed a couple of items from Bikers Gear in Cowes for my trip to Queensland coming up in April (Ulysses AGM in Maryborough). Had lunch and a leg stretcher in Inverloch and then continued on along the coastal road between Inverloch and Cape Patterson - absolutely marvellous. On the return trip I took the road through Archies Creek, Kongwak and Korrumburra, no traffic and a nice relaxing meander along country roads.

2 March - Wilsons Prom
Marcus spent the weekend with us arriving on Friday afternoon. We set off for Wilsons Prom this morning on a day where the weather was changing every few minutes. We never had rain but it got pretty overcast a few times. The one thing that was constant was a strong wind which made riding an interesting experience. Fortunately by the time we reached Tidal River the sun was out and there were some (fool)hardy types even swimming. I was glad I had my motorcycle jacket to keep warm. Our return trip was through Foster and Yarram with the final leg through Tarra/Bulga and over Mt Tassie. We finished the day with some great food at our local Indian restaurant, Sari's.
